Here it is Sunday again.
This has been a horrible, boring week.
Peg's been working lots of hours(sure glad we sold that business so she wouldn't have to work anymore) and I been laying around cause I've had some feet problems.
No not that! I've been putting my feet in my mouth for years and that's not the problem.
Anyway it's getting better and I should be normal(shut up) soon.
Kyle's brother Kurt won The Nationwide Race Friday night driving Kyle's car and Kyle won Saturday Nights Race in the M & M Car.
That makes me feel a little better.
A thought!
When I bought my Blackberry, I thought about the 30-year business I ran with 1800 employees, all without a cell phone that plays music, takes videos, pictures and communicates with Facebook and Twitter. I signed up under duress for Twitter and Facebook, so my seven kids, their spouses, 13 grand kids and 2 great grand kids could communicate with me in the modern way. I figured I could handle something as simple as Twitter with only 140 characters of space.
That was before one of my grandkids hooked me up for Tweeter, Tweetree, Twhirl, Twitterfon, Tweetie and Twittererific Tweetdeck, Twitpix and something that sends every message to my cell phone and every other program within the texting world.
My phone was beeping every three minutes with the details of everything except the bowel movements of the entire next generation. I am not ready to live like this. I keep my cell phone in the garage in my golf bag.
The kids bought me a GPS for my last birthday because they say I get lost every now and then going over to the grocery store or library. I keep that in a box under my tool bench with the Blue tooth [it's red] phone I am supposed to use when I drive. I wore it once and was standing in line at Barnes and Noble talking to my wife and everyone in the nearest 50 yards was glaring at me. I had to take my hearing aid out to use it, and I got a little loud.
I mean the GPS looked pretty smart on my dash board, but the lady inside that gadget was the most annoying, rudest person I had run into in a long time. Every 10 minutes, she would sarcastically say, "Re-calc-u-lating." You would think that she could be nicer. It was like she could barely tolerate me. She would let go with a deep sigh and then tell me to make a U-turn at the next light. Then if I made a right turn instead... well, it was not a good relationship.
When I get really lost now, I call my wife and tell her the name of the cross streets and while she is starting to develop the same tone as Gypsy, the GPS lady, at least she loves me.
To be perfectly frank, I am still trying to learn how to use the cordless phones in our house. We have had them for 4 years, but I still haven't figured out how I can lose three phones all at once and have to run around digging under chair cushions and checking bathrooms and the dirty laundry baskets when the phone rings.
The world is just getting too complex for me. They even mess me up every time I go to the grocery store. You would think they could settle on something themselves but this sudden "Paper or Plastic?" every time I check out just knocks me for a loop. I bought some of those cloth reusable bags to avoid looking confused, but I never remember to take them in with me.
Now I toss it back to them. When they ask me, "Paper or Plastic?" I just say, "Doesn't matter to me. I am bi-sacksual." Then it's their turn to stare at me with a blank look. I was recently asked if I tweet. I answered, No, but I do toot a lot."
P.S. I know some of you are not over 50. I sent it to you to allow you to forward it to those who are.
We seasoned citizens don't need any more gadgets. The TV remote and the garage door remote are about all we can handle.

Four
Yup,someone is turning four.
And it's not the one on the left.
It wasn't quite her birthday yet but she was going to be away on that day so we had a little party earlier.
As you can see Olivia had a great time.
Beth and Alex were also great.
Wendy still doesn't like having her picture taken as you can see from the scoul.
However it appears that some in the family feel different about it.
Some are just hams
Including Chastity.
Ps It stopped snowing but the weather still sucks.

Waiting
So here we sit.Waiting.
Waiting for some decent weather.
Had another big dump of snow Friday night, then more blowing snow Saturday and another drift during Sat night..
The temperatures are just above freezing during the day and just below freezing at night.
Just x0x#*@x lovely
I was sitting around the coach doing nothing yesterday when the little old lady next door came a knocking.
She said she had been working on this jig-saw puzzle for a while but she just can't get it started.
Not one piece.
I asked her what it was supposed to be anyway?
She said according to the picture on the box,it was a rooster.
Ok,so I went over to help.
She takes me in and shows me where she has the pieces spread all over the table.
After studying them for a while I explained that no matter what we did the pieces would never resemble a Rooster.
I told her we should just sit down, relax, have a cup of tea then put all the pieces back into the box.

Edmonton
Yup,It's Edmonton,It's April and the weather sucks.
We are having a nice day today but tomorrow we are supposed to get rain and then more snow by the weekend.
This is our last year that we will be back here for April. It's just not worth it.
Sure it's nice to see the kids and stuff but we can see them in May just as well and we can be outside. Maybe?
Peg cooked Easter Dinner over at Wendy's but even then some of the kids were too busy to come over.

Edmonton in March/April
We woke up to this shit!
The second biggest shock of course is buying beer.OMG it's expensive here. But we get free healthcare?
Friday was like the old days-We went to the Kimball's for drinks on Friday night.
This
is
Jan Kimball
This is Barry Kimball
Jan's mom was over visiting and if you look at Peg it looks like she is taking the sign on the wall seriously
Ray and John were there.
Shirley and Debby too
We had a great time and were once again forced into sucking back too many.In fact we had to stay the night.People sure are a bad influence on us.
The next day we left the Kimballs sitting in their smoking seats by the fireplace.
They make themselves sit there cause the smoke goes up the chimney
RIGHT!
And Bob's your uncle
